PARTICIPANTS ON THE DAY
  • It is important to wear suitable shoes for the driving experience. A sports trainer with a flat sole is ideal allowing a good ‘feel’ for the pedals. High heels or large thick soles are not suitable
  • No specialist clothing is required but we advise that you dress appropriate to the weather conditions which can be variable on any given day as our venue is a remote area in a Scottish Forest, The venue is quite exposed although shelter is available. A coat and hat is advisable all year round.
  • A waiver is signed by each participant prior to the course at registration. Each participant is stating that they are taking the course entirely at their own risk and will not hold any person, company or organisation liable in the event of their death or injury. Participants also sign to say they are liable for the full cost to repair any damage to the vehicle caused by their recklessness or ignoring instructions from the instructor. An Insurance waiver is offered to reduce this liability and is offered to all participants.
  • Juniors must be signed in by and accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.
  • Access to the forest is via unmade roads and locked gates. You will travel in your own vehicle. All typical family cars are capable of this journey.
  • All attendees are there for the duration of the event as the gates are locked for safety reasons.
  • No pets are permitted due to safety and well-being of all attendees. The instructor has the right to refuse any participant the right to drive if, in the instructors sole opinion, they are not appropriately dressed (ie shoes), do not have the required minimum driving skills or are unwilling to follow the instructors directions or are being a general nuisance or danger to themselves, other participants or spectators.
  • Any participant who shows signs of having been drinking alcohol or under the influence of illegal drugs will be refused permission to drive.
  • Alcohol is strictly forbidden from all our events. Anyone who we suspect to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be excluded from all activities and entitled to no refund or re-booking (this relates to actions and or smells deemed to be alcohol and or drug-related). Any participant who lacks understanding of the English Language will not be able to take part. If you have any medical condition or disability which will affect your ability to undertake the experience, or instruction to be taken, this must be disclosed on the booking form where indicated. If you are in any doubt, then please consult your doctor. To ensure the validity of any insurance cover we may in some instances ask clients over a certain age to produce a medical certificate. Please note: Apart from Guide Dogs strictly no pets are allowed at any venue including the car parks.
  • The instructors decision is final.
  • No refunds are available where the instructor determines a participant fails to meet the above conditions however, we may offer another group member the option to take their place.
  • Please ensure you arrive at the specified meeting point 15 minutes prior to your start time. Please do not arrive any earlier or drive passed the specified meeting point for your own safety. All drivers must attend a mandatory safety briefing at the start of their experience. Late arrivals will not be admitted and will forfeit the booking and will not be able to reschedule or be refunded.
  • Our team must be spoken to directly and informed if there are any special requirements for participants.
  • Our recommended height and weight restrictions are :- Height - Min 4’ 10” Max 6’ 4” and Waist 42”.
PURCHASES AND BOOKINGS
  • We advise booking 3 months in advance of your voucher expiry date as we do have very busy periods and cannot guarantee availability in a shorter time frame.
  • Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. This is expiration date is a ‘use by’ date. OR • The gift voucher recipient must book and participate in their experience before the use by date. Failure to do this will result in forfeiture of the voucher.
  • Gift vouchers are non-refundable for a cash alternative.
  • Gift and Course vouchers are refundable up to 14 days from the date of purchase. To receive a refund, purchasers must email requests to info@forestrally.co.uk within 14 days from the date of purchase stating the name of the person purchasing, voucher reference and date purchased. Refunds will be given directly back onto the card used to purchase.
  • After the 14 day period, refunds cannot be offered.
  • Where deposits have been paid the balance is due 30 days prior to the experience taking place or at the time of confirming a date if it is less than 30 days.
    Where payment has not been completed we may (at our discretion) provisionally reserve the place but reserve the right to re-allocate it if another Customer requests and secures the booking by payment. If this happens, we will notify you and give you the opportunity to complete the payment immediately.
  • A minimum of 30 days notice is required to reschedule a booked course by the customer/purchaser. A fee of 50% of the course fee will be charged at time of rescheduling for bookings rescheduled within the 30 days.
  • Vouchers can be extended for 6 months at a time for a charge of 50% of the voucher value.
  • No cash refunds are available
  • The voucher is non-transferable except with the express permission of Forest Experience Rally.
  • We make every reasonable effort to run the course in our Subaru Impreza’s and MK2 Escorts but reserve the right to change the car in exceptional circumstances.
  • We make all reasonable efforts to run the course on the specified date but should there be an issue such as adverse weather, pandemics, lockdowns, emergency forestry maintenance, instructor illness or any other circumstance outside our control Force Majeure we have the right to cancel your course 24 hours before your course. In this circumstance a refund cannot be requested. We will aim to keep you informed via email and advise as soon as possible of any cancellations. Should a course be cancelled and your voucher due to expire, your voucher will be valid for a further 6 months free of charge to allow time to rebook.
  • We cannot refund or be made accountable for any charges incurred by guests for travel arrangements or accommodation. Please keep this in mind when booking accommodation with cancelation fees.
  • In the unlikely event that we cannot fill a course with the minimum number of participants we reserve the right to cancel the course and reschedule the participants another date.
  • Be aware that this is NOT a driving lesson for use on the highway and we are not seeking to teach people to drive. We will teach specific car control techniques related to rally driving. All participants (including juniors) are presumed to have basic driving skills that include the ability to operate the clutch, brake and accelerator, steer the vehicle and change gear without having to take their eyes o- the road.
